LS: Have Granpeople ever worked in collaboration with other studio on a commercial project?
GP: There have been few collaborations so far. The most recent one was with Kim Hiorthøy, an extremely talented Norwegian artist/designer/musician. It was for Tokion magazine´s Japanese edition. We made a spread for an article on record label Rune Grammofon, Kim Hiorthøy and Grandpeople. It ended up as the front cover as well.

LS: What are your favourite projects so far?
GP: Hopefully the one we are working on now for Two Faced, a project that many designers, photographers and so on around the world have been invited to. We are making a portrait of the Finnish design studio Syrup Helsinki. This is going to end up as a book and
an exhibition where the invited ones are paired off to make each ones portrait. Ideally favourite projects should always be the ones you are working on right now. If you stagnate and never develop through your projects it will absolutely be quite depressing. Of course we often end up depressed, but the good thing about graphic design is that every week a new projects starts.

LS: What do you enjoy most about your work?
GP: The part of a job where you are not forced to be in front of a computer. When you must study and obtain knowledge.

LS: What was your greatest success? Biggest setback?
GP: The most surprising thing so far must be the 10-page profile Grafik magazine did on us last autumn. I don’t see that we have had any major setbacks. Right now we are just working hard. But if the hard work won’t pay off, well there you have the biggest setback. We´ll see.

LS: What is your next project?
GP: Right now we are working on a jazz CD, a contemporary opera CD, an art catalogue, a website, some projects we´ve been invited to, our portfolio and profile. Well that’s at least some of the things that’s in progress. Typical graphic design jobs for a small graphic design company.

LS: Is there anything you would like to add?
GP: If you ever are in Bergen, Norway, please come and visit. If you got cookies, we provide coffee.

LS: Thank you for your time, guys. Luminescene team wishes you the best in your future work.
